Reform Torta
by Adrijana Gvozdenović
Screening followed by birthday cake
Saturday, 21st of March, 2026
18:00-21:30h
Rue de l'Hectolitre 3, Brussels
During her residency at Hectolitre, Adrijana will share a new approach to portfolio
documentation—as intimate, embodied, and dialogical process. When one is not rooted in
a single place, artworks and their contexts dissolve quickly—the labor of translating across
languages, countries, and art systems becomes exhausting.
Reform Torta takes the form of a recipe video, to produce a space where personal
memory, professional motivation, and creative labor converge.
After the screening, we will cut a birthday cake and hang out.
About the artist:
Adrijana Gvozdenović
Adrijana Gvozdenović (b. Titograd, 1986) is an artist-researcher and cultural worker. She
develops rational, often collaborative approaches to question fixed notions of identity,
authorship, and the role of the artist within institutional frameworks.
From 2017 to 2020, she was engaged in research at a.pass (Brussels) and the Royal
Academy of Fine Arts (Antwerp), where she developed Archiving Artistic Anxieties—a
project exploring artists’ motivations and their resistance to (self-)imposed structures.
Through her hybrid formats, performances, and texts, she repositions art as a space for
collective inquiry, self-education, and imaginative practices of mutual support and
responsibility.
She is in Hectolitre with artist Vijai Patchineelam, her partner and collaborator, returning to
Brussels to make cakes, reconnect with friends, and celebrate love and life.
See you soon!!
